Dr. George Leaks, ODDr. David Vander Veldt, ODDr. Stacy Washington
Dr. Leaks has been an Optometrist since 1984 and has been practicing in Pahrump since 1990. He graduated in 1970 from the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a minor in mathematics. In 1974 Dr. Leaks entered the Indiana University School of Optometry and graduated in 1978. His externship was done at the Army Hospital at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

After graduation, Dr. Leaks practiced in the Dayton, Ohio area before coming to Las Vegas in 1985. In 1990, Dr. Leaks started his practice in Pahrump.

Dr. Leaks is married to Dr. Joan Leaks, a family medicine and wellness medicine practitioner.

img584-drv Dr. Vander Veldt has been practicing optometry in Pahrump for 9 years. He focuses on diagnosing and treating hard-to-detect ocular diseases and maintaining healthy eyes.

Dr. Vander Veldt is a native of Las Vegas and completed his undergraduate studies at UNLV and UNR, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went on to earn a Doctory of Optometry (O.D.) from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California.

Dr. Vander Veldt is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and the treatment and management of glaucoma.

Apart from practicing optometry, Dr. Vander Veldt also enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, skiing, biking and playing golf.

img584-drwDr. Washington completed undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana and is a 2005 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry.

After graduating she completed a residency in primary care / ocular disease with the Indian Health Service in Crownpoint, NM. Following her residency, Dr. Washington continued with the IHS before relocating to Southern Nevada.

Dr. Washington is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is board certified in the state of Nevada in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

She enjoys working with kids and handling challenging ocular disease cases. In her spare time, Dr. Washington likes to cook for her family and friends and loves to travel.
